As part of our ongoing cybersecurity measures, the University Information Security Office is applying critical updates across several of our internal systems and software platforms. To ensure our environment remains fully protected while this work takes place, we need to take a few systems offline or restrict access.
Restricted Systems (ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ VPN or Campus Network Required)
Access to some internal systems will be restricted so that they are only accessible from our campus networks or through the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ VPN. These systems remain operational, but external internet access is disabled:
- ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Forms (forms.odu.edu)
- VCPCP research project website
- Chesapeake Bay research project website
- Various faculty personal webpages
Temporarily Offline Systems (Complete Outage)
Additional systems will be temporarily taken offline while we apply security updates. These systems will be completely inaccessible for up to a couple of weeks while we thoroughly update and test these tools.
