Dr. Faisal Mahmud is currently an Instructional Technology Specialist at CLT, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Distance Learning. He also manages FUSION Lab, a creative space and collaboration platform for tools and technology R&D for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ DL. Prior to joining here, he was a Resource Manager and Testing Supervisor at Experiential Learning and Testing Center, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½. He also worked with ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Research Foundation, MSVE department, CEE department, Admissions Office, and Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center.

His research interests are in Human-Computer Interactions (HCI), Modeling and Simulation, Data Analytics, Systems Integration and Management, and Human-Intelligence/Machine-Intelligence Decision Governance.

Dr. Mahmud holds a PhD in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Modeling and Simulation, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering, all from Old Dominion University.
