Move More. Sit Less. Support Heart Health Research.

How do your everyday movement habits affect your heart health as you age? Researchers in the School of Exercise Science at Old Dominion University are seeking adults 55 years and older to participate in a study conducted in the Cardiometabolic Laboratory.

What’s involved?

  • Wearing a small activity monitor for 7 days to track your daily movement patterns
  • One lab visit to assess cardiovascular health
  • Completing a brief questionnaire about your health and lifestyle

Why participate?
Your involvement will help researchers understand how everyday activity patterns relate to cardiovascular health and healthy aging. This knowledge may inform strategies to promote heart health in older adults.

Eligibility:

  • Age 55 or older
  • English speaking
  • Not currently pregnant
  • Non-smoker
