About this Program
Old Dominion University offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in information systems and technology with a network engineering major. The Network Engineering major prepares students to be successful in the network engineering and management field in areas like network design, server and desktop administration, and network management. In today's economy, organizations and institutions rely heavily upon digital networks to manage operations, exchange information, enable transactions, and provide services. Creating and managing efficient, reliable, and secure networks is therefore critical. This major combines the technology skills for managing networks with the business skills for deploying them effectively, preparing future managers that operate at the intersection of business and IT.

Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
