About this Program

Old Dominion University offers a minor in Political Science. This course of study is designed to support students interested in strengthening their understanding of politics, government, and public policy. Because these topics touch virtually every field, students can also apply political science in their major field, whether it is in the social sciences, humanities, or almost any field of study from biology to computer science, business to engineering, sports to public health. The minor is also valuable preparation for students who want to engage the future as informed citizens.
