Your Advising Team at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½
At Old Dominion University, academic advising is a team sport. While you will work with multiple advisors across campus, you never have to navigate the system alone.
As a Perry Honors College (PHC) student, you get a dedicated Honors Success team, your constant resource to keep your Honors journey clear, connected, and aligned with your ultimate goals, whether that’s launching a career or heading to graduate school.
The Honors Advantage: How We Support You
Regular sessions with your Perry Honors College advisor ensure you maximize your ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ experience while staying on track.
- Customized Goal Mapping: In individualized 15-to-30-minute sessions, we map out a custom plan tailored to your specific academic and professional ambitions.
- Milestone Tracking: We review your progress each semester to ensure you are smoothly hitting Honors milestones and heading toward a successful Honors graduation.
- Proactive Success Coaching: To maintain your Honors status, you'll need to keep a 3.25 GPA. If you ever hit a rough patch and fall behind, we don’t penalize you; we automatically enroll you in a dedicated Student Success program to connect you with resources and get you back on track.
- Specialized Opportunities: Connecting you directly to specialized Honors funding, experiential learning grants and other benefits provided to Perry Honors College students.
Note: Meeting regularly with your PHC advisor and following guidance are requirements for continued enrollment in the Perry Honors College.
